The U.S. Air Force has been conducting tests as part of the Skyborg Program, utilizing variants of Kratos’ XQ-58A drones. Fully Autonomous Weapon Systems: Humankind OUT of the Loop

These systems are the “real threat”, if we’re discussing a Terminator scenario in real life since they function without direct human intervention or supervision.
