In total, there are around 10 hyped tournaments that will take place between April and December this year. But some months will be busier than others.
April
The month of April only has one CS:GO tournament: ESL Pro League Season 15. The competition started on March 9th and will end soon. Teams like Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, Astralis, and NiP are fighting hard to with the trophy and along with it, $175,000 and a ticket to BLAST World Final 2022.
May
May is a huge month for CS:GO this year because that’s when the first Major of the season takes place. PGL will be holding its great event in Antwerp, Belgium, between May 9th – 22nd. Its prize pool will be $1 million and the best teams in the world will take part in the race. The results of this competition will tell us what the new pecking order is in CS:GO. It’s likely that the giants from 2021 will continue to prove their worth but it’s not yet clear how strong each of them is after the roster changes. As always, the CS:GO betting opportunities of this Major will be numerous.
Just one week after the Major ends, another tournament is set to start: IEM XVII Dallas. This competition features 16 teams and has a prize pool of $250.000. Unlike the Major, which lasts for 2 weeks, IEM Dallas will last for 6 days. This is the standard duration of many CS:GO events. The interval is May 30th – June 5th.
June- Best CSGO Tournaments
Between June 15th – 19th, BLAST Premier will hold its Spring Finals. The tournament brings together the best 8 teams from the BLAST Premier circuit and offers them $425.000 in prizes. The winner also earns a ticket to BLAST Premier’s World Final.
The great thing about BLAST events is the quality of the matches. This organizer likes to put together small-scale tournaments that feature the best of the best. Therefore, every single match is spectacular. So far, 6 of the 8 participants have been decided: Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, Vitality, OG, and BIG. If you check who are the top 10 teams in the world right now, you will immediately realize just how important BLAST Premier Spring Finals really is.
Another tournament that takes place in June this year is Roobet Cup. This competition offers $250.000 and brings together 16 teams. The only downside of this event is that it takes place online. But it should still be interesting to watch, especially if you’ve been following CS:GO tournaments for 3 – 5 years. FalleN will participate with Imperial Esports, and other interesting teams, such as Copenhagen Flames and Entropiq, will also compete. The interval is June 22nd – 30th.
July
Only one big CS:GO tournament takes place in July, but it’s an epic one: IEM Masters Cologne. If you’re a CS:GO fan, you probably know just how important this competition is. The lore alone will make you want to watch it. With $1 million in prizes, 24 participants, and almost 2 weeks of hyped matches, IEM Masters Cologne is the equivalent of a Major. The interval is July 5th – 17th.
August
August will feature two events. The first is BLAST Premier: Fall Groups, which starts on August 19th and ends on August 28th, and the other is ESL Pro League Season 16. This second event lasts for 5 weeks and will have a lot of great matches.
September
No big events have been announced so far for September, but there will be a few A-tier competitions this month. One of them is ESL Challenger.
October
Apart from the fact that EPL S16 ends at the start of October, no S-tier events have been announced so far for this month. However, it’s likely that there will be at least one.
November
In November, the big tournament to watch is BLAST Premier: Fall Finals. Between November 23rd – 27th, 8 of the world’s best teams will compete for $425.000 in prizes and a spot at BLAST Premier’s World Final.
December
This is another fairly uneventful month. However, BLAST Premier World Final will delight fans for 5 days, between December 14th – 18th. The competition has a prize pool of $1 million and features 8 teams. If you like seeing hyped matches, this is an unmissable event.
