The Best Kajabi Review

Website design is not always easy.  Trying to balance an appealing look with functionality can be a real challenge, especially for those of us who are not incredibly familiar with the technology involved.  Without the proper tools and education, it can feel like an impossible venture, even though it’s something very important for a modern-day business.

There are a lot of websites building platforms out there.  We see advertisements for them so often that it’s hard to figure out which ones are worth it and which ones aren’t.  That’s especially true as so many online influencers and personalities talk about them!  So, today I’ll break down whether they’re a valuable service or not.

What is a Website Builder?

I’ll start off here since I find that’s usually the best place to begin.  If you’re wondering what they are, it’s pretty simple.  They are platforms in which you can create a website for yourself or your business using the tools they offer.  This saves you a lot of time on coding, for example, especially if you do not know how to perform a lot of the functions.

There are a lot of articles about them, like this one, https://www.forbes.com/advisor/business/software/what-is-a-website-builder/, so if you are curious you may want to check it out.  They are quite versatile, hence my preference to use them.  I’m also just a bit hopeless with some technology, so I find it makes a big difference in my website creation.

What can they do?

This one is a bit more varied.  You see, there are differences in all of them, so this will depend on where you choose.  I’ll explain a few of the potentials so you have a good idea of what to search for in a platform.

Customization tools are fairly universal and pretty much a must when it comes to this sort of thing.  After all, we need to be able to set ourselves apart from other web pages created on the same platform.  You probably don’t want to use something that can only produce cookie-cutter copies of the pages it synthesizes.

Video hosting is another nice feature.  It is generally a good idea to mix up the content that you are posting.  So, having graphics and videos is one way to do that.  Promotional videos about your products or even from your social media pages can do wonders for driving website traffic in the right context.  You can click here for more information about this.

Marketing tools are another thing I tend to look for when I’m selecting a website creation platform.  What could those be?  Well, one is a system for creating an email list and sending out a newsletter regularly.  When that sort of thing can be automated to an extent, it can save us a lot of time that could be spent elsewise.

Implementing sales funnels, or the journey that a customer takes on their shopping experience, is another part of marketing that can be beneficial.  The final one I would like to point out is analytics.  Being able to look at statistics for who is visiting and clicking things on your website can help you fine-tune your material to suit your target audience.

Are they Worth it?

Now, obviously, I can’t tell you what to do or how to live your life.  I can simply provide some advice that I consider to be valuable.  In this case, I do think that many of these platforms are worth it.  That being said, researching to find one that suits our needs is an important step in making it worth your while.

If you’re still not sure what to look for, that’s okay.  Some of the websites even offer more complex services such as full content management systems, if you are looking to create something larger than a private website.  If you work in e-commerce, you know how important it is to have a website for a business, so keep that in mind as you consider it as well.

There are also two types of this sort of thing.  The ones I’ve been talking about for most of this article are online platforms, but offline ones do exist as well in the form of software.  I should note that there are pros and cons to each of them, but I rarely utilize offline services anymore for this purpose.

As I alluded to in the introduction, the main benefit of using these services is not needing experience with website creation prior to beginning.  After all, coding can be quite complex, and not everyone has an eye for design anyway.  It can be quite a challenge for some of us.

Personally, I prefer to use the sites that offer both a free design option and templates, as I find that easiest to work with.  However, you should look for what suits you better.  If you are confident in your aesthetics, you probably don’t need templates anyway!

I would say it is best to keep your options open, either way.  While there are a few big-name companies out there, checking out the smaller ones might surprise you.  Go into it with an open mind and really consider the choice.  What are you looking for?

The reason I say this is that many of the online services do require you to sign up or pay some sort of fee.  There’s nothing wrong with that, but we should be sure to think about that!
