Whether you’re trying to create a gaming montage, a supercut of your best vacation moments for your friends and family or a presentation for work, combining videos together has just gotten a lot easier. This online tool called Flixier lets you merge videos online, right in your web browser, without having to download any software, worry about file formats and compatibility issues, or even create an account.

In this article, we’re going to tell you all you need to know about this online video joiner as well and show you exactly how you can use it to combine videos online.

How to merge two (or more) videos with Flixier

Step 1: Open Flixier and upload your videos

Start by going over to Flixier.com and clicking the blue Get Started button in the top right corner of the page. You don’t need to create an account or pay anything in order to merge videos with Flixier, but creating a free account will allow you to save your media and your project in the cloud in order to resume working on it later on, if that’s what you want.

As soon as you click on Get Started, the editor will open up in your web browser. You’ll be greeted with an import menu. This is where you upload the videos that you want to combine. You can drag and drop them from your computer, or bring them over directly from any of the cloud storage services listed there. You’re also free to bring videos over from YouTube using the Link option (just copy and paste the URL), or log in with your Twitch account to import highlights, clips and past streams directly from there.

Step 2: Merge your video files

Once every clip is in your media library, it’s time to put your videos together. You do that by dragging them down to the timeline at the bottom of the screen.

Flixier is a fully featured video editor, not just an app to combine videos, so you’re free to edit your clips as well. You can cut out unwanted parts by moving the playhead to the right time and clicking the Cut button to make a cut (or pressing the S key on your keyboard). You’re also free to trim videos by dragging on their ends in the timeline.

To add transitions between clips, you can drag them over each other in the timeline and then select a transition from the drop-down menu that appears. You can also add customizable motion titles, Like and Subscribe animations, shapes and other elements to your videos by dragging and dropping them over from their respective tabs on the left side of the screen.

More advanced options like keyframes, color correction and other video effects are available in the menu on the right side of the screen, all you have to do is select your video on the timeline and look through the tabs there.

Step 3: Download your combined videos

When you’ve finished combining your videos, click the Export button in the top right corner of your screen. Make sure Video is the selected format, then click on Export and Download to save the videos to your computer. Flixier will take up to a few minutes to process your clips and then the download will start.

Why we like using Flixier as a video merger software

Now you’ve seen how Flixier can act as a video merger software, but we figured we should still motivate our decision to showcase it a little. There are a number of reasons why we think this is a solid way to combine videos and a lot of those have to do with speed and convenience.

The fact that Flixier works entirely online means that you no longer have to worry about downloading apps. It also means that it will work on any operating system, so it’s an easy recommendation for any of our readers, no matter if they use a Mac, a Windows laptop or even a Chromebook. Another cool thing is that it uses cloud servers to process the videos. That means it runs smoothly even on low-end computers and renders videos in a few minutes max. Meanwhile, traditional video editing software tends to lag on budget computers and can take a long time to render footage even on more expensive ultrabooks.

Lastly, we decided to recommend it because it’s easily accessible. It’s easy enough to use, even for beginners, while offering plenty of features, so it won’t stifle your creativity either. It’s also free to try, and the fact that you don’t need to register an account in order to use it mean that you can head over there right now and start putting videos together!
